Review of "Getting Started On Acoustic Guitar"

Getting Started On Acoustic Guitar
Completely Worth It!!
"I would suggest any beginner to buy this well planned DVD!! Keith Wyatt!! That guy rocks!! As you use this CD each day, it feels like your coming back to your buddy Keith, and listening to what he has to say about the first steps of playing! I only knew how to play chords before I got this CD, but now I know how to find a note on a quitar and how to play power chords and other moveable chords and am also learning about scales! The way Keith has explained everything is the CD is simply amazing he makes it so easy! I refer to the CD every once in a while to revise what I have learnt. And boy do I love it! Keith Wyatt, Rock On! Also the Movie on Fenders Manufacturing Unit is a real treat to watch, and the Guitar care tips were a nice touch to the CD that taught me a few things! BUY IT no need to think I guarantee 100% satisfaction!"

Cutting teeth
"I bought this one with my first guitar and I was not dissapointed! Keith Wyatt's instruction is engaging and learner friendly. I felt like he was sitting in the same room giving instruction in person, in tune to my personal level.
Though I would have liked more in depth instruction on nuances of the accoustic, what I did learn gave enough me encouragement to "spread my wings" and experiment on my own.
I have since started "jam sessions" with other guitarists and continue to learn new things every time I play. This is the perfect beginners instruction to cut your teeth on.
As it was pointed out to me, that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. In my opinon, this one DVD coveres miles! Thanks Keith!

Beginning guitarist? Check it out!
"Keith Wyatts' engaging friendly style combined with quality instruction, and essential content make this DVD a must have. However, someone unaccustomed to basic music theory might find some of the vocabulary a little confusing, a few run throughs should be more than enough to get you up to speed. The DVD is divided into a 'First Step' section which contains several Menu headings. Each of these "menus" contains several lessons. Once you master the material, you move to the 'Play Acoustic section' presented in the same format above, but this time the lessons focus on rock, blues, and country respectively. Some small nits. There is no companion book to the DVD, although Keith Wyatts' Acoustic Guitar Basics: Steps One & Two Combined is an excellent addition. Being the acoustic version I had hoped for more fingerstyle content. After all, the acoustic shines in this style. All in all, a very fine learning tool. It's informative, fun, and keeps you coming back for more."
